Medical Questions
Often, women and their physicians have specific medical questions regarding the treatment of cancer in pregnancy. Dr. Elyce Cardonick is a Maternal-Fetal medicine specialist with vast experience working with women having all types of cancer in pregnancy. She is a valuable resource in these situations. Dr. Cardonick also maintains a Cancer and Pregnancy Registry of women who have had cancer in pregnancy. With their permission, she reviews their cancer treatment and pregnancy outcomes. As such, she is very knowledgeable as to the types of testing, treatment and time frames of each during pregnancy, to optimize the health of the unborn child while not compromising the chance of cure for the mother. As a Hope for Two Advisory Board member, she is happy to assist our members with their medical questions and concerns in these cases. Her contact details and Registry information can be found here: https://hopefortwo.org/2020/registries.php. You and your physician(s) are welcome to contact her directly.

ATTITUDE
By Charles Swindoll
“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think, say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company… a church… a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we embrace for that day. We cannot change our past… we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play the one string we have, and that is our attitude… I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you… we are in charge of our Attitudes.”
